When did you first realise you wanted a career in skin?

My first few years into high school I developed acne, this affected my confidence alot and I felt like there was not much I could do and didn't realise I could get help. When I did reach out and get help, I felt there is definitely more out there and I can get better control of this.

When I left school I decided to do Beauty Therapy and it all started there!

Being in the industry for 15 years I have gained so much knowledge, started my own skincare journey and believed changes can happen.

Tell us a bit about your experience in the industry

I started off within the Spa and Health Club industry for many years, and enjoyed providing relaxing and holistic treatments. Fast forward 10 years, I wanted more. I wanted to deliver treatments but on a much more advanced level where it is results driven. This is when I trained and embarked on my journey in Aesthetics.

I feel privileged to have worked alongside Dermatologists and Doctors in the heart of globally renowned London's medical district Harley Street.

What would you say had been your career highlight?

There are a few career highlights for me! But if i had to pick one it would have to be when i got promoted to Spa manager, as management was something i wanted to do. It helped me gain so much confidence.

I loved the nurturing side as a spa therapist and I felt this played a huge role in me succeeding in my role and ensuring clients were leaving with memorable moments. As a manager I enjoyed overseeing clients' skin and wellbeing journey.

What’s your favourite thing about working in skincare?

I love the science behind it and how our skin changes!

Over the years I have loved helping people build self-confidence, and being there for them when they embark on their own skincare journey. Building trust is really important, and of course, commitment and patience are required so amazing results can follow.

My passion is to make a difference, this gives me great pleasure when the results are evident.

What ingredients are in your personal skincare routine?

I personally love Vitamin A-based products, Vitamin C and Niacinamide as these ingredients alone can address many wide concerns.

Hyaluronic acid has always been a staple and it is safe for all to use.

Love BHA's such as Salicylic acid as it is oil soluble and helps keep any of my breakouts at bay, but I use it occasionally when I have a break from Retinol.

I also like Azelaic acid, I use this occasionally too.

What do you love about working at Renude?

I feel we reach a wider audience, and especially those who might not consider going to a clinic or have less time are able to have access to a licensed expert remotely.  It’s also really great for clients as they always have ongoing support.

Our platform is fantastic as we have a great range of products available to suit all needs and budgets.

I love my team! Everyone is so supportive and we all want to achieve the same goal 'Helping others'!.

What’s your best bit of skincare advice?

Please do not go overboard when trying products, the market has so much available now on a much-advanced level. A lot of products and ingredients benefit different concerns, if unsure, the best advice I can give is to get expert guidance from a licensed specialist.

Skincare does not have to be complicated, healthy skin requires many things we do or don't do daily such as sleep, stress levels, diet, sun exposure, and pollution, these are all things that have a huge impact on how our skin behaves.

Skin Care products will make a difference but if we don't look after our skin health our product efficacy can also change.

Do allow any new products to go through at least 2 skin cycles (12 weeks) to notice change or difference. Skin is our largest organ. Let's look after it so it can look after us.
